A
Fit4Life programme will commence at the club next week. The programme is targeted
at walkers, joggers, and runners and is open to both male and females of all ages. This
highly successful programme is run by athletic clubs all over Ireland and provides
a structured training environment in which participants can meet as a group a number of times each week to achieve a variety
of personal goals. Not only does the club have qualified leaders for the programme,
but it also has qualified athletic coaches on hand to provide advice and support to course participants.
With
the dark evenings now upon us, many people find the roads unsafe, poorly lit and not an ideal environment in which they can
get fit or lose weight. The Lifford AC facility provides the ideal setting for
those hoping to achieve their goals, with an enclosed 400 metre floodlit track, changing rooms, showers, fully equipped gym,
and fitness suite. Course participants will also become part of the Athletics
Ireland Fit4Life Club community, with insurance cover, training diaries, and other supports available.
Registration
evenings will take place at the Lifford AC clubhouse on Monday 2nd November, Wednesday 4th November,
and Monday 9th November at 8.15pm
each evening. The cost for the initial eight week course is €50. Whatever the fitness level, from the complete beginner to the more experienced runner, the group training
setting is the ideal place to get started. For further information, please contact
