The club would like to extend its sympathy to the McNamee family, Coneyburrow, Lifford on the recent death of their mother Caty.  Daughter Majella and son Martin are both members of the club and we offer our condolences to them at this sad time.

This weekend, the club will have two athletes travelling to the All Ireland Juvenile Championships in Tullamore, Co Offaly.  Both Conor McKinney and Loressa McGavigan will be attending their first such Championships having qualified through Ulster in recent weeks.  Conor will be taking part in the Boys Under 13 high jump having secured a bronze medal at Ulster and a winning gold at the Donegal Championships.  Conor only took up the event this year, and with two medals under his belt already this year, we wish him all the best on Saturday.

On Sunday, recent club recruit Loressa McGavigan will take part in both the long jump and javelin competitions.  Loressa qualified through Ulster in third place in the long jump.  Her winning throw of 20.65m in the javelin at Ulster should see her in contention for a medal, and again, we wish her the very best at her first All Irelands.

While club training has finished until the end of August, a reminder to parents and the wider community that the club gym remains open five days per week throughout the summer.  All proceeds from the gym go towards the ongoing development of our facilities which everyone can enjoy.
