Within the next fortnight, the club will be starting up a Fit For Life walking/jogging
group at the athletic track. With many people out walking unlit and busy roads,
the grounds of the athletic club will provide a safe floodlit environment in which people can get fit and lose weight.
An eight week programme is being planned initially,
where members of the group will receive a weekly plan, advice, and support to achieve realistic goals. Where it can be difficult to get motivated as an individual, this new Fit For Life group will also offer
members the opportunity to meet collectively on a regular basis making motivation that bit easier.
