An Evening With Jimmy Magee

jimmy_magee.jpg

Jimmy Magee has been the legendary voice of Irish sport for over half a century.  Known as the ‘Memory Man of Sport’, his broadcasting career has brought him all around the globe.  He has covered everything from Olympic Games’ to European and World Cup Finals and from All Ireland Finals to Tours de France.  Whether it be pitch side, track side or ring side, he has captured the pride and the passion of the most famous and memorable sporting triumphs of our generation.

In a one off show, Jimmy Magee recalls some of his most memorable sporting moments over the last fifty years.  From Dalymount Park to Croke Park, from the Madison Square Gardens to L’Alpe d’Huez, and from Augusta to Beijing, the sporting highlights of our time are relived by the man who has been there and experienced it all.

The show will include specially invited guests from Donegal’s own glorious sporting history.  The show will also allow members of the audience to put their own questions to the ‘Memory Man’ and to relive the emotion, the passion, the highs and the lows of a treasured sporting history.
